The Tin Roof is a great community supporter. Our larger charities we support include Northwest Harvest, Community Colleges of Spokane Foundation, YMCA's Camp Reed Youth Scholarship Program, Christmas Tree Elegance & the Spokane Humane Society. We believe the role of a locally owned business is to support the community that supports your business, as such we are a leading member of the local group "Buy Local, Give Local."
Heather Hanley, of The Tin Roof, sits on the board of the Community Colleges of Spokane Foundation and was honored at the "Community Volunteer of the Year" in 2013. As the Chair for the annual "Sip, Swirl & Savor" committee, she'll transforms the SCC Lair into a vineyard and, through the auction and dinner, raise money for student scholarships and programs.
The Tin Roof was proud to be selected as designers for the KXLY's Extreme Team's designer challenge for the Salvation Army's new nurturing center. Along with three other designers, we designed and decorated a room for the new center in just one day! You can check out our work and the room on our Facebook page.
Through our partnership with YMCA Camp Reed, The Tin Roof's numerous donations of products and services sent several children to camp this year! We've enjoyed the postcards sent over the summer from the Kids at Camp. Thanks Loco! Keep up the good work!
Last summer marked the 10th Annual Angel Ball Gala. Heather also sits on the board of this amazing organization and we're proud to help Julie and her team with this incredible event that raises funds for children with Juvenile Diabetes. It's a wonderful summer event - one not to be missed. Can't wait for the party this June!
Giving back to the community that supports our business is a founding principle of The Tin Roof. We have charities that we work with very closely and try our hardest to support as many local organizations through donations, volunteer time and dedication to the greater good.
